refunded for cancellations 1 week prior to class.

be refunded for no-shows. Minimum class size is 3 persons. Class will be
cancelled and deposit refunded if minimum is not met.

Introduction to Stained Glass ($50)
Construct a 6 x 9 inch panel from glass
and patterns supplied in this fun filled two week look into the world of stained
glass. Tuition includes all materials.

Beginning Stained Glass ($125)
Learn the
traditional copper foil method of stained glass construction. Class meets two
hours each week for three weeks. Tuition includes all materials.

Intermediate Stained Glass ($175)
The
next step in copper foil stained glass construction, this class will emphasize
the English method of cutting and build on pattern-cutting skills learned in the
beginning class. Students will complete a 12 x 16-inch panel from supplied
patterns.
Tuition includes all materials. Class meets two hours each week for four weeks.

Beginning Fusing and Slumping ($175)
Make an 8-inch sushi dish and a 12-inch bowl in this three-week
class. A general overview of fusing techniques, pitfalls, and procedures will be
presented. Tuition of includes all materials, technical manual, and kiln
time.

Bowling with Greg ($75)
This introduction to fusing is like no other. Join nationally celebrated
artist Greg Rawls (www.gregorieglass.com)
in assembling an 8-inch bowl in this one-day, two-hour class. Tuition includes
all materials and kiln time.

Introduction to Glass Beadmaking ($250)
Learn basic lampworking skills in this two-day workshop. Tuition includes
the basic beadmaking kit—an assembly of tools specially chosen by the staff at
Blue Heron, including a torch to continue your new hobby at home—to get you
safely started in glass beadmaking.

Fused Crazy Quilt Workshop with the
Charleston Museum
($75 member / $90 non-member)
Back by popular demand! In conjunction with its Crazy Quilts
exhibit, the Charleston Museum is teaming up with Blue Heron Glass once
again. The crazy quilt style and design elements translate beautifully into
fused glass. Learn how to cut glass to a pattern, the basics behind the science
of fusing glass (melting compatible glasses together), and how to embellish with
fused accents to create a crazy quilt affect. For more information and to

Glass Jewelry Workshops with the Charleston
Museum
In conjunction with Preciousness Preserved: Jewelry from the
Charleston Museum's Collections from Antiquity to Today the Charleston
Museum is teaming up with Blue Heron Glass once again to offer a two-part glass
jewelry series. You may take one or both parts. Registration in either
or both sessions also entitles you to the curator-led tour of the exhibit. For

Fused Pendant Workshop
($40 member / $45 non-member)
Join instructor Becca Hiester for this fun exercise in pendant
making. Fused pendants are an easy and enjoyable introduction to the world of
glass. Pendants are also a simple and unique gift for any occasion. Learn the
basics of cutting glass and fusing. No experience is necessary. Each
participant will complete at least two pendants.

Saturday July 10
Brief Introduction to Beadmaking
($40 member / $45 non-member)
Blue Heron Glass owner Mike Hiester will teach this two-hour
workshop and introduce you to soft glass, beadmaking tools and to how to safely
work with a torch. Each participant will create unique, wound glass beads with
beautiful embellishments. No experience is necessary. The workshop will end with
a brief demonstration of how to make a necklace with your beads (and pendant if
applicable).

Studio time offered by
appointment only. Cost is
$15 per hour
which
includes use of shop space and tools. Please bring or buy your own glass and
supplies. Studio space is not always available. Call 769-7299 for an appointment.
Several things to
keep in mind about our classes:

No prior glass experience is
required for classes unless otherwise noted (e.g. lead came class).

A
deposit of $50 is required to hold your place in the class. Full refunds will be
made up to one week prior to the first session scheduled. You are not
officially registered until your deposit is paid.

Gravity works and glass cuts!

phones off during the class. This is a time to relax, have fun and get
away from the pressures of daily life!
