Blue Heron Glass Class Schedule

March – April 2012

 

$50 deposit required to register. Minimum of three students per class.

Beginning Lead ($150)

In this introduction to lead came, students will create a 12 x 18 inch panel using a supplied pattern. Students must purchase glass for the project, but lead came, use of tools, and all other necessary supplies are included in the $150 tuition. Knowledge of glass cutting is required. Class meets two hours each week for four weeks.

 

■■   6-8pm, Thursdays, March 1, 8, 22 and 29 (NOTE: No class on Thursday, March 15)

 

Beginning Stained Glass ($125)

Discover the world of stained glass and learn the traditional copper foil method construction. In this class, students will create an 8 x 10 inch panel from three supplied patterns. Class meets two hours each week for three weeks. Tuition of $125 includes all materials.

Beginning Fusing and Slumping ($175)
This fun and informative class provides a general overview of fusing techniques, pitfalls, and procedures. Students will create an 8-inch square dish and a 12-inch round bowl in this three-week class.  Tuition of $175 includes all materials, a technical manual, and kiln time.

Easter Egg Decorating ($30 for two eggs)

Bring along a couple of friends and enjoy a childhood pastime in a new way.  Our eggs are flat, wonderfully white and come pre-drilled so all you have to do is add color and hang with a pretty ribbon after we fire them. Additional eggs are available for decorating during the workshop for $10 each.

Studio Time is offered by appointment only.  Cost is $15 per hour, which includes use of shop space and tools. Please bring or buy your own glass and supplies. Studio space is not always available and is NOT a substitution for class instruction.
